Daniele Constance

Daniele Constance is a participatory artist, art therapist and producer, with a strong focus on socially engaged arts practice. She creates artistic works that draw from direct experience and storytelling, using verbatim, site- specific, contemporary, and embodied performance practices. Daniele has trained with a wide range of artistic companies and collaborated with artists within Australia and internationally, which has given her a strong and diverse embodied performance language, understanding of and continued practice with: participatory art, site specific performance, large scale and long standing community arts projects. Constance is Director of Aha Ensemble, a contemporary performance collective dedicated to creating engaging, inclusive, and curious performance works, while providing professional development opportunities for artists with disability in South East Queensland. She is also the proud Director and Co-Founder of social enterprise Suitcase Rummage, which takes place across the country. She has presented work at the Footscray Community Arts Centre, Judith Wright Centre for Contemporary Arts, La Boite Theatre, Melbourne Fringe Festival, Testing Grounds, HOTA (Home of the Arts), Castlemaine State Festival, State Library of Queensland, Supercell Dance Festival, Brisbane Powerhouse, Metro Arts, Undercover Artists Festival: Online, and Brisbane Women’s Correctional Centre.
